Vacation! Vacation! Vacation!

Summer is a time where everyone packs up and leaves their home. Whether it be for a week, couple of week, or a whole month. There are several vacation spots that are easy to find, but where are the cheap ones at? There is a favorite vacation spot I like to hit whenever summer rolls around and I would like to share it with you.

One of my top vacation spots is Atlanta, Georgia. The big city of Atlanta has several things to do and see, and there are also several things in the cities and towns surrounding it. Some of the stuff to do right inside Atlanta is the Georgia Aquarium,  Zoo Atlanta, World of Coca-Cola, and the CNN Center.

The Georgia Aquarium is located near the Central Olympic Park, near the Coca-Cola museum and CNN. It has a total of ten thousand gallons of water for fish, and they house more than a hundred thousand animals. They host activities like swimming with whale sharks and interactions with penguins, dolphins, or sea otters. There is an aquanaut adventure where visitors can learn about aquatic life through the choice of seven expeditions. Visitors can even earn an Aquarium Aquanaut Certification by completing five out of the seven courses. There is also a 100 foot long underwater tunnel that takes you through one of the largest tanks that houses whale sharks, manta rays, and thousands of other fish. Different exhibits include cold water fish, sea lions, dolphins, and tropical fish. To top it all off, they have their own 4D movie theater located inside the building. Georgia Aquarium is open from 10am-9pm, so you can have a full day of family fun!

The Zoo Atlanta is another great place to visit. They are one of the four places in the United States that house giant pandas. Zoo Atlanta has over 1,000 animals from across the globe. They also have North America's largest exhibit of great apes.  Housing more than 70 species in their amphibian and reptile center in a 111,000 square-foot complex. If you love animals and would love to see how Zoo Atlanta is trying to conserve species and care for them, then this is the place to visit for you. They are open regular days from 9:30am-4:30pm.

Another spectacular place to visit is the World of Coca-Cola, recently built in 2007. The building is a place of history for Coca-Cola. Visitors are able to walk around and read about the history. There is a walkway where you can look at all of the bottles ever made and you can actually watch part of the process of bottle making because the museum is also a factory. There are also two movie theatre type areas where you can watch short documentaries on the history of Coca-Cola and old commercials. The best part about touring the Coca-Cola building is the tasting room. With over 100 different products of Coca-Cola to try, you're sure to find one to satisfy your taste buds.

Lastly. the CNN Center is the headquarters for CNN, where main newsrooms and studios are located. It is used as an actual news building, and you go on a guided tour through the place. While there, you can watch people on live television, and sit in front of a green screen yourself. Inside the building, they have full-service restaurants and two clothing stores. During the tour, you also get background about the company, get to see offices, and live broadcasts. Tours are open from 9am-5pm.
